Cancellation and Refund Policy

Payment: 

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due at time of booking and the remaining 50% plus travel fee (if applicable) is due 7 days prior to your event. In the event that you book the same week of your event, payment and travel fee (if applicable) is due in full at time of booking.   The event setup will not occur without full payment.  

Cancellation:

Cancellation notice must be provided no less than 7 days before your event.  The reschedule date is subject to availability. There are no cancellation charges for rescheduling your event.  Your non-refundable deposit will be moved to your new rescheduled date. Your rescheduled date must be within 365 days of date of cancellation.  All deposits and payments that have been paid are non-refundable.  Reschedulding your event within 7 days of your event forfeits all deposits and payments made.   

Refund Policy:  

We do not offer refunds once payment has been received unless your event is canceled by Picnics and Things.  Refunds will not be offered in the event of inclement weather.

Inclement Weather:

We will closely monitor the weather 24 hours in advance, and if appears that the weather may affect your reservation, we will reach out to discuss relocating indoor if possible or rescheduling your event to another date subject to availability. We are not responsible for acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, epidemic, an act of government such as declaration of national or local emergency, or any other incidents not within our control.  Refunds are not available.  There is no cancellation charge for rescheduling your picnic due to inclement weather. 

Late Arrival

We ask that you try your best to arrive on time, but things do happen. If you do arrive past your start time, we will remain on site with your setup until you arrive. Your picnic will still finish at the designated time. If you choose to add more time you may call or text the provided number 30 minutes before your end time. If additional time is available, we would be happy to extend your time at an additional fee.   Fees: each additional 1 hour is $40. Your original form of payment will be charged with your remaining balance.  

Leaving Early

If you wish to leave prior to the arranged time, please contact us via call/text 30 minutes in advance. You will be held responsible for all picnic items until we are able to return. 

Use of Equipment:

All Equipment supplied is the property of Picnics And Things.  Any damage, loss, or extensive cleaning will result in a fee to the client. Our furniture is delicate and requires special handling. The person scheduling with us will be held responsible for any loss or damage to any items such as customized tables, dinnerware, props, and other decor. Fees will apply for replacement.  These fees are payable within 7 days of such loss or damage unless agreed otherwise. Damage includes but is not limited to;

-Improper use of equipment.

-Equipment removed from delivered and agreed event location.

-Damage to, or loss of, the equipment from any unknown cause

-Burn residue on any furniture or décor items from smoking objects not limited to cigarettes, cigars, hookahs etc.

-Smoking is not permitted on or near the property of Picnics and Things

-Red wine or other staining product spillages or stains on any furniture or décor items

Pets:

No pets are allowed to utilize any of the rental equipment under any circumstances. 

Rush Surcharge

All events scheduled within 48 hours of an event date must be paid in full and will be charged a Rush Surcharge of $25.00

Travel Fee: 

All events held outside of the Slidell and Greater New Orleans coverage area will be charged a traveling fee of .70 per mile outside the coverage area. We will send you an invoice for traveling fees.  

Image Release:

In the event that photographs of your event have been taken and shared either on social media or with us, we reserve the right to use such photographs in its promotional materials. 

Liability:

Picnics And Things will in no way will be held responsible or accountable for any damage, injury, illness, death or loss of income caused to the client, any third parties or properties due to the hire of equipment or provided services by the hire company. All equipment is the responsibility of the booking client during the full duration of booked scheduled time.
